Some Ideas for Getting Noticed on YouTube Gaming Sites

  • Be good. Make the best videos you can. YouTube rates view time above all else, and an engaging video will keep people watching longer.
  • Find a niche which isn’t so swamped.
  • Find out how people search for your topic and make sure you are optimized for that. Use Google’s keyword tools and the Google and YouTube search bars to get a feel for the search environment for your keywords. Rejoice if you find keywords that are well searched, but where not too many other results come up. Search using “” and [] around your keywords to see what happens when the exact keywords are searched.
  • Remember YouTube ads can be quite cheap, if you stick to a budget and don’t go for the most expensive keywords. You will need a compelling ad with a clear call to action.
  • Get creative. Something new or different might set a new trend. Creativity can trump the same old expensive stuff.
  • Act quickly if something is new or trending and you are able to be responsive. But don’t chase after everything new and always be starting again.
  • Reach out, form relationships and be helpful.
  • Be consistent. Keep showing up on time.
  • Be persistent. So many people quit after building a little, just before they were probably due to take off.
  • Show your sense of humor.
  • Show your personality.
